Last week, Kea’s teachers planned a huge event for us! Its camp! (Tui Ridge Park) we packed our luggage and left for camp.

The first day our first activity was, we did the flying fox (my 2nd favourite) it was my turn and my head felt dizzy, my legs couldn’t move. I took a deep breath and the instructor clipped it on. I jumped off and felt like the honoured one. We had lunch and stuff too, it was delicious.

Day 2. After breakfast, we did Slingshot paintball. It was really fun! We had an awesome lunch and dinner! We went Geocaching and in the evening had a talent show! For the talent show I did magic tricks.

The last day we woke up and had breakfast and cleaned our our rooms. The bus arrived, and we packed up to leave.

Overall

My Camp Experience was really fun. We had awesome activities. My top 3 was the, flying fox, rock climbing, and slingshot paintball

Kea Practiced Angles and Shots, and made a Trailer.

     Kea readed a story named Aunty Nga and we made a Cook Island tour guide.

Oobleck

On Monday 29th of July Kea created Oobleck. Whaea Ocea told us the instructions, ingredients and the Equipment. They were water, cornstarch and food colouring.

Secondly we got into groups, and sat in a line.  My group was Aiesi, Wycliffe, Dagi, Te Ahi and Me. Next we got a bowl and spoon. We needed 1 spoon of water and 2 spoons of cornflour. 

We put blue food colouring in and mixed them all together. It turned hard every time we mixed it. I touched it with my fingers. It felt smooth, hard, and slimy all at the same time. I mixed it more until It got harder and harder, I grabbed some, and it felt the same but harder. 

Lastly Whaea Ocea called everyone to the mat.

The Experiment was Fun and Awesome.

On Wednesday Kea went on a trip to the aquarium, at Kelly Tarltons. The teachers told us the rules. No running, no yelling. We explored the aquarium  and saw penguins, sharks, stingrays, turtles and more! My favorite part was Antarctica . There was an illusional bridge.  Leeroy´s mum was the parent helper. She told us that the effect was called ¨the boomerang.¨ 

Our next activity was to go to the same place but it was different. There was a penguin statue and it was so FLUFFY! I saw two holes and a towel just in front of the penguin statue. I was wondering what it was. I put my hand in it with no regret and held it in. My hands were icy cold and I started shivering. I pulled my hands because it was getting colder and I grabbed the towel.  

Then, we all had a break for lunch and I drank my water. There was a cafeteria but we didn’t eat there. I like to buy lollies in the cafeteria but we were not allowed. 

We had so much fun at Kelly Tarltons. We all met back up at a place called ¨Seahorse Kingdom.¨ We all packed up and left onto the bus back to school.

Friends are important people to everyone. At school me and my friends like playing, soccer. I love my friends because they help calm me down, they hangout with me and help me with math when I’m stuck. When I am hurt and luckily my friends are there to help me, they help me up and take me to the office.

Friends play a very important role. They encourage you when you need help, they cheer you up when you’re angry or sad. They do lots of things for you. They can make you laugh a lot. They are helpful and kind. They can make people happy and they are supportive and nice.

On pink shirt day the whole school wore pink. Some people wore pink and some people didn’t.  Pink shirt day is a day where we stop bullying, Pink shirt day is an important day. Everyone was smiling , happy , kind , and nice. Pink shirt day was a very bright and lovely day. It was even sunny! everyone was nice to one another.  I was so happy I started jumping for joy.
